We’re back for another Feature Friday: Staff Edition! Today is all about Aidan, one of our Event Staff members. We’re so thankful that she’s one of our local college girls who will be with us throughout the fall and winter! Check out her interview below!
Name: Aidan Waters
Position: Event Staff
How long have you been with Waterford?: I was hired in January of this year!
College/Major: I go to Old Dominion University and I’m majoring in Elementary Education
Describe yourself in 3 words: Funny, Outgoing, Caring
Describe WER in 3 words: Professional, Astounding, Devoted
What do you love most about working at WER?: I love being able to be a part of the brides day, and having the opportunity to make her day so special and beautiful.
Favorite Linen: Rosette on Mesh
Favorite Sash Tie: Chiffon Weave
What linen trend are you loving this wedding season?: I’m loving the purple trend! I’ve seen so many different shades of of purple used this summer.
If you aren’t working, where would we find you on the weekend?: You’d most likely find me at the beach!
Craziest setup story: Definitely the time Kendal and I had a set up in Newport News, and there was SO many chair covers, sashes, table linens and chargers that it was overwhelming! But, after 6 hours it was fulfilling to see how beautiful the reception looked with all the centerpieces!
What is your favorite part of the setup process at an event?: I love tying sashes! Making a perfect bow is the best feeling!
What is the most significant thing you’ve learned from working in the event industry?: I’ve definitely learned how to be more innovative with event ideas and I’ve had to learn to be quick on my feet because sometimes issues come up and you have to think fast and creatively to solve them.
