With the start of wedding season right around the corner, our office has been full of design meetings over the past couple of months. While we love these meetings and the time we get to spend with our sweet clients working through linen details for their big event, we know there are a bunch of other tasks they need to accomplish as well. So today, we’re going to share a few tips on helpful information to have prepared to maximize your time during your design meeting!
Know Your Venue

Knowing the ins and outs of your venue as far as layout is concerned is one of the most useful things you can do before attending your linen design meeting! Asking your venue coordinator or on-site contact questions surrounding table sizes or any unique qualities will help you ensure you’re choosing the right linens.
Know Your Guest Count

Guest count is normally something that isn’t finalized until about a month or two before a wedding or event, and we totally understand that! Having an exact guest count isn’t necessary of course, but having a general idea will come in handy when choosing linens. It’s better to go with your “if everyone we invite shows up” number, rather than aiming low. It’s much easier to adjust your linen numbers down than potentially getting into a situation where product is not available because your count has increased dramatically from the initial number.
Know Your Budget

Oh budgets – the end all be all of events, right?! Budgets can definitely be overwhelming, but having a solid understanding of your budget and the breakdown allotted to each aspect is very important. This breakdown will help you decide where your priorities lay as far as must-haves at your event, and will allow us to choose linens and products that coincide with your needs. There’s nothing worse than having a loose budget and falling in love with something that is out of reach!
