Waterford Wednesday: Michael & Morgan’s Wedding

Spring has sprung and you know what that means…wedding season is upon us!  The beautiful weather, the gorgeous blooming of flowers, and the love of being outdoors really excites us Waterford gals for all of the weddings we are going to help execute and decorate in Hampton Roads this season!  Michael and Morgan’s special day on March 2, 2019 at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth proves to still reign as one-of-a-kind in our books, so much so that Mickey Mouse made a special guest appearance on their wedding day!  Talk about unforgettable!

From the small details and final touches that added personalization to the love that was shared by each attendee of their wedding, this was one of the highlights for our season so far.  Take a look at some of our absolute favs from Michael and Morgan’s magical wedding:

We might be a little biased, but isn’t the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth just the most beautiful place to say “I do”?!  What a breathtaking wedding Michael and Morgan had back in March!  By keeping the color palette classic with pink, white, and gold along with touches of greenery, their wedding exuded elegance and sophistication.  The Gold-Beaded Glass Chargers with the Banded Baby Pink Satin Napkins and Gold Chiavari Chairs truly complimented the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth‘s interior features.

Waterford Wednesday: The Summer Social

If you haven’t heard the exciting news, we are expanding our repertoire of events to more than just our annual A Crystal Clear Vision!  That’s right, this July, we will be hosting our second event of the year, The Summer Social at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth!  On July 12th at 6PM the hottest social event of the summer will kick off with the most exhilarating way to plan your wedding in Coastal Virginia.

  For only $15.00 per person, you not only experience the amazing opportunity to interact and chat with this region’s top event professionals but also are served great food, signature drinks, cotton candy, and gelato while playing lawn games and dancing!  How great does this sound?!

Since starting A Crystal Clear Vision several years back, we always felt a need to add a second event with a unique flair.  So, we teamed up with Antonia Christianson Events, and did just that! Our Summer Social is exactly what this region has needed as a way to provide brides and grooms alike with the chance to “hang out” with the experts in a completely casual and fun way!

Waterford Wednesday: Trending Colors for 2019

Us Waterford gals have had this forever LOVE for all shades of blue!  It just so happens to be one of the most trending colors for 2019 and we are beyond excited to be featuring Slate and Ice Blue linens on the blog this week!

Breathtaking and quite sophisticated to say the least, both Slate and Ice Blue are a MUST for all events seeking to highlight a new trend that sets your design apart from the rest.  What’s unique about these two shades of blue is its universality.  Whether you are planning an event in the bleak, cold winter or in the heat of August, Slate and Ice Blue prove to be quite sensational focal points for your entire event.

WOW!  I mean, come on!  Doesn’t this just take your breath away?  In combination with the natural greenery and browns, it is quite obvious this is going to be a lasting trend that continues over the next few years.  Classic and elegant with a touch of simplicity, this color palette adds vibrancy and a sense of “airiness” to the decor of the the entire event.  Sometimes, harsh hues with heavy decorative pieces leave the guests and the overall atmosphere feeling uncomfortable.  That’s exactly what you don’t want to happen!  With this design and these linens, you won’t have to worry about that at all!

If you are wondering what pops of metallic you could incorporate into this design, we suggest touches of gold.  This could be accomplished by renting chargers, silverware, candle holders, or making name cards.  Any of these are cost-effective solutions to dress-up your event while pairing with various greeneries as well as Slate and Ice Blue.

Waterford Wednesday: Work for the Best Team

Here at Waterford Event Rentals, LLC we are one big, happy family!  Each of us gals and gents come from a unique background with various experiences but originally sought out this opportunity to work for WER as a way to make the event and wedding industry a better experience for all!  With so much stress that goes into planning an event or even getting married, we know that help is always needed but not always sought after properly.  The amount of rental companies out there can truly be daunting to someone simply looking for a reliable, efficient, and creative rental vendor to hire.  Well, for this week’s Waterford Wednesday, we’re here to share with you what WER is all about and even new employment positions that just opened up on our team!

First and foremost, let’s be real.  WER truly seeks to make each client’s experience completely stress-free and F-U-N!  Picking out rental items to highlight at your event is quite an enjoyable activity, if we say so ourselves!  Working with Alyse or Brigitte to coordinate what latest design trends go along with what’s on your vision board is one of the best parts about what we do.  We LOVE to be apart of bringing your dreams to life for your event or wedding!

With all of the happenings here at WER, we sure keep busy and are in the need of some extra hands!  Right now, we’re currently looking for hard-working and responsible gals and gents to join our growing team!  These positions are currently open and provide a basic description of what each job entails:

Event Staff:  Part-time position; sets-up and removes rentals, such as chair covers, sashes, table linens, chargers, etc.

Delivery Staff:  Part-time position; delivers and picks-up rentals such as tables and chairs (heavy lifting is involved).

Wedding and Event Intern:  Part-time/full-time position; shadows design meetings, develops newsletters, attends networking events, updates our blog, experiences on-site events, and more.
