We absolutely adore this specialty linen of ours, and wouldn’t it just be the perfect way to add a touch of gold to your table?! We love how you can play around with this gorgeous linen to get just the right amount of gold that you’re looking for. This linen would definitely be the talk of your event!

Wedding decor is all about the details, and no formal, sit-down dinner is complete without a little additional decor! To add a little something extra (in gold!) our gold beaded chargers are the way to go! The glass adds a modern approach to the charger, while the gold beading provides that perfect hint of color that could take your table design to the next level!

There’s just something so elegant about pintuck fabric, especially in napkin form. Your guests would be pleasantly surprised to see these beauties hanging or folded at their seat, trust us! They’re the perfect way to complete a table design for an unbelievably low price!

For a complete look at a ceremony or reception, our gold chiavari chairs are the way to go! We love how uniformed and elegant they can make rows of seating look at a ceremony, and they bring just the right pop of gold most people are looking for at a reception!

If you’ve followed Waterford for awhile, you know we love us some gold sequins linens! We love them on guest tables, sweetheart tables, cake tables, but how amazing would a sequins linen be as a gold backdrop at your event? We loved creating a sequin teepee at our VOW bridal booth this year. We’ve also seen our sequins linens used as an amazing shimmery photo booth backdrop. The ideas are endless with this beauty!

Waterford Wednesday: Lesner Inn Wedding

We’re back for another Waterford Wednesday!
Today we’ve got a seriously dreamy Lesner Inn wedding to show you! Lesner Inn is one of our favorite venues in Hampton Roads, due to all of the different areas in the venue where events can be held. There’s a beautiful upstairs area for large receptions/events, and a stunning outdoor section overlooking the water that is the perfect location for ceremonies or cocktail hours. Hannah Hildebrandt Events recently coordinated a beautiful wedding at the Lesner Inn and we rounded up some of our favorite photos that Kirstyn Marie Photography captured of our linens that were used!
Are you in neutral color palette heaven just like us? There’s just something so crisp, classy, and elegant about white/neutral colors – don’t you agree? We absolutely adored how our gold beaded glass chargers looked placed on top of our Ivory Vintage Lace Overlays! It gave off such a light and airy feel to the room. The mix of family style tables vs. round tables is always a favorite design element we like to see at events as well! Of course, we can’t forget how gorgeous our chiffon sashes look weaved through the back of these chiavari chairs. Chiavari chairs are beautiful on their own, but are really taken to the next level when paired with a chiffon sash this way!

Check out Hannah Hildebrandt Events blog post on this beautiful wedding for even more pictures!

Waterford Wednesday: Hermitage Museum Wedding

Happy Waterford Wednesday, friends!
We’ve got some beautiful Hermitage Museum and Gardens wedding photos to share with you today! It’s always so special when one of our vendor friends gets married and chooses Waterford for their linen needs, and we were thrilled to be a part of Jessica Ryan Photography’s day! Check out some of our favorite shots that Erika Mills Photography captured.
Gosh, could you just swoon at all of the thoughtful details included in this whole design? The lighting, the hanging greenery, and don’t even get us started on the amazing mix of linens! It can often be intimidating to mix and match linens, but when done correctly, the results are nothing short of amazing! Not only did Jessica choose to mix linen colors, but also fabrics and textures which made for such a visually stunning overall design. This outdoor design also included one of our favorite trends: layering! We could stare at that beautiful sweetheart table all day with our champagne sequins linen on the bottom and vintage lace overlay on top! What a treat it was to be a part of your day, Jessica!

Waterford Wednesday: Reception Space Hacks

Happy Waterford Wednesday, friends!
We’re excited for today’s post where we’re going to share some helpful reception space hacks. We’ve been to hundreds of different venue spaces over the years and we’ve gathered some tips for fixing any reception space issue!

Crazy Carpet
David Champagne Photography
Crazy, patterned carpet is one of the top issues that most people have with their venue space. Oftentimes venues will have colorful carpet that doesn’t match your event theme and can be very distracting when combined with your decor. An easy way to keep your guests’ eyes off the carpet is by directing their gaze up! Intricate draping, interesting light arrangements, or beautiful floral are all easy ways to do this!

Old & Dated Chairs

Dressing up chairs with chair covers is a quick and easy fix for old and dated venue chairs. Adding a nice satin or organza sash will dress the chairs up even further! If you want to nix the venue provided chairs completely, renting beautiful chiavari chairs is another option if you have a little extra money in your budget!

The Space is Too Big
Audrey Rose Photography
While it’s better to have too much space than not enough, large, open ballrooms can make a venue seem cold. If you’re looking for a more intimate feel, you can divide the room with drapery, additional furniture, or low-hanging chandeliers and centerpieces!

Waterford Wednesday: A Modern Twist

Happy Waterford Wednesday, friends!
We’ve got a fun little post for you all today! With blogs and Pinterest taking the wedding and event industry by storm over the past couple of years, the “traditional” wedding look has definitely evolved. Couples are focused on incorporating personal style and creative ideas into their wedding day as opposed to just sticking to traditional norms. We’ve rounded up some of our recent favorite ways to add a modern approach to your wedding!

Velvet
Design: Palette of Petals // Photographer: Caitlin Gerres Photography
We are absolutely smitten over velvet linens! The silky and smooth fabric gives off a timeless look, yet is a modern approach to wedding table designs. The versatile fabric can be dressed up or down depending on the look you’re searching for and is definitely a more modern fabric approach.

Vintage
Photography: Diana Gordon Photography
There’s nothing quiet like the wow factor a vintage piece can bring to a table design. Whether it be an extravagant love seat or small decor items, these elements provide the perfect marriage of vintage and modern.

Shapes/Patterns
Photographer: Elizabeth Friske Photography
Interesting shapes and patterns are a modern trend that we’ve seen pop up in the industry. While the traditional shades of white and ivory are still wedding staples to a certain degree, many couples are choosing to go bold with different colors and designs in their linens.

It’s Part 3 of our A Crystal Clear Vision Linens 2017 posts!
This week it’s all the beautiful photos and linen details on the four tables that Caitlin Gerres Photography captured: A Lively Affair, ISO:ALT, Soirees by Lauren, and Spirit of Norfolk!

Midnight Polyester | Pottery Print Overlay
How gorgeous was A Lively Affair’s blue and white chinoiserie chic tablescape? Our Midnight Polyester linen was the perfect base for the table, and our Pottery Print Overlay had a pattern that really brought their vision to life!
Florist: Leslie Hartig Floral Design Plates: Table Seven Antiques, Glass/Flatware: Distinctive Event Rentals, Jars/Chair Shrugs: Little Stitch Studio

Silver Eyelash | White Polyester
ISO:ALT
had such a unique table that was set apart from every other design, which we loved! The geometric aspects incorporated throughout, mixed with the varying colors shining down created an interesting overall look on our Silver Eyelash and White Polyester linens!

Pink Crinkle | Banana Leaf Overlay
Soirees by Lauren had the most FUN table! The tropical and flamingo inspired table was brought to life using our Pink Crinkle linen and Banana Leaf Overlay! We love how the floral centerpiece even had a tropical vibe to it!
Florist:
Fluttering Flowers, Stationary: PaperDolls Design

Vintage Lace Overlay | Gold Aphrodite
We love a good theme, and Spirit of Norfolk blew their Beauty and the Beast table out of the water! The attention to every single detail on their table (including the infamous rose!) was incredible and really brought the vision to life. Our Vintage Lace Overlay and Gold Aphrodite linens used as a faux runner down the middle of the table was the perfect addition!

Waterford Wednesday: Linen Fabric Choices

It’s Waterford Wednesday!
Unless you’re in the wedding or event industry, you may not know the various fabric choices that are available, and believe it or not, the different fabric types can elevate or better explain the concept of your event. There are so many different types of fabrics to play with and each set their own tone. Today we are breaking down some of our favorite fabrics and giving you the scoop on our most popular choices!

Polyester – Polyester is a go-to linen for many events. Often used as a base linen in standard colors such as white, ivory, and black (but gorgeous in other colors as well!), this fabric is durable, crisp, and perfect to build off of!
Photo: Crystal Belcher Photography

Organza – This delicate and sheer fabric is classic at weddings, and can definitely give off a romantic and airy vibe to whatever table it is used on. Organza is beautiful when used on sashes, and is a common fabric for table overlays due to the linen underneath remaining  mostly visible creating a complimentary tablescape!
Photo: Dragon Photography Studio

Satin – If you’re looking for a romantic and elegant vibe at your event, satin is the fabric for you! The glossy look and texture creates an expensive overall feel for your event and is a popular sash fabric choice for those wanting to dress up their event chairs!
Photo: Sean Holder Photography

Lace – Lace is one of our favorite transitional fabric choices! We see it used a lot in the summer and fall months, and as such a delicate fabric it works for many different areas of your event. Lace is definitely a fabric that brings a softness to whatever table it’s included on!
Photo: David Champagne Photography

Pintuck – Pintuck is such an underrated fabric that we absolutely adore! Though it’s not used as often, this crisp and unique fabric is stunning as a stand-alone fabric, or paired with another and will give your tables an overall stylish feel!

Waterford Wednesday: Special Sweetheart Tables

Happy Waterford Wednesday, friends! Today we’ve got a fun little post all about sweetheart tables and some cute and creative ways you can make these special tables shine a little more! At this years A Crystal Clear Vision, a few of our participants decided to design a sweetheart table rather than a full guest table, and these stunning designs gave us some good ideas that we just have to share with you! Here are three sweetheart table ideas that we love:

Love Seat
Photo:
Amanda Manupella Photography Design: Antonia Christianson Events
A great way to add a little extra touch to your sweetheart table is to seat you and your loved one on a comfy sofa or love seat together! Not only does this incorporate a vintage feel, but it also has the potential to add in a nice bold pop of color depending on the chair you go with! We loved how Antonia Christianson Events added this chair into their design at A Crystal Clear Vision, it definitely made the whole design more romantic we think!

Floral Runner
Photo: Palette of Petals
Floral arrangements are always such a statement piece when it comes to sweetheart tables, and we absolutely adore the floral runner trend that’s been happening lately! Using a floral runner creates a unique and visually appealing element to your sweetheart table that will definitely set it apart from your guest tables!

Signage
Photo: Andi & Zoe Photography
Table signage is a cute and easy way to show off your sweetheart table seats! Something as simple as “Bride” and “Groom” signs are great starter ideas for you to get creative, but there are endless options when it comes to ideas! We love “The Sail” and “The Anchor” signs that were used at an Outer Banks wedding a couple of years ago! It really spoke to the bride and grooms style and worked well into the overall theme of the event!

This week we are excited to share photos and linen details on the four tables that
Kirstyn Marie Photography captured: Emily Weddings, Events by JacklynFluttering Flowers, and Hummingbird Macaron!

Ivory/Gold Mermaid Sequins
Emily Weddings table design was an absolute stunner this year! For the second year in a row they won the People’s Choice Award, and for good reason! How amazing did our new Mermaid Sequins linen look on their table design, with that fabulous backdrop from Blue Steel Lighting?! This was definitely a table that will be talked about and remembered for years to come!
Designer: Emily Weddings Florist: Palette of Petals

Light Blue Polyester | White Organza | Light Blue Majestic Runners
“A little bit Cinderella with some bold pops of color mixed in” was the direction that Events by Jacklyn envisioned for her table design, and with our Light Blue Polyester linen and Light Blue Majestic Runners she totally nailed it!
Designer: Events by Jacklyn // Florist: Gather Floral Design // Stationary: Victoria Paige Lettering // Vintage Rentals: Mad Hatter Vintage

Turquoise Majestic | Blue Allure Overlay
Fluttering Flowers table design was giving us major heart eyes with their use of various shades of blue! Our Turquoise Majestic linen and Blue Allure Overlay were the perfect combination to bring all of the thoughtful details (that cake and beautiful menu!) on the table together in a beautiful way!
Designer: Fluttering Flowers // Stationary: River City Graphics

Gold Disco Sequins | Champagne Satin
Can we all agree that macarons are just the prettiest displayed dessert ever? We loved how Hummingbird Macaron had their large assortment of macaron treats displayed in various ways on their “A Spring Tea in the Garden” inspired table! Our Gold Disco Sequins and Champagne Satin were the perfect base linens to make this table really shine!

Waterford Wednesday: Prepare For Your Linen Meeting

Happy Waterford Wednesday, friends!
With the start of wedding season right around the corner, our office has been full of design meetings over the past couple of months. While we love these meetings and the time we get to spend with our sweet clients working through linen details for their big event, we know there are a bunch of other tasks they need to accomplish as well. So today, we’re going to share a few tips on helpful information to have prepared to maximize your time during your design meeting!

Know Your Venue
Elizabeth Henson Photos

Knowing the ins and outs of your venue as far as layout is concerned is one of the most useful things you can do before attending your linen design meeting! Asking your venue coordinator or on-site contact questions surrounding table sizes or any unique qualities will help you ensure you’re choosing the right linens.

 Know Your Guest Count
Amanda Hedgepeth Photography

Guest count is normally something that isn’t finalized until about a month or two before a wedding or event, and we totally understand that! Having an exact guest count isn’t necessary of course, but having a general idea will come in handy when choosing linens. It’s better to go with your “if everyone we invite shows up” number, rather than aiming low. It’s much easier to adjust your linen numbers down than potentially getting into a situation where product is not available because your count has increased dramatically from the initial number.

Know Your Budget
Audrey Rose Photography

Oh budgets – the end all be all of events, right?! Budgets can definitely be overwhelming, but having a solid understanding of your budget and the breakdown allotted to each aspect is very important. This breakdown will help you decide where your priorities lay as far as must-haves at your event, and will allow us to choose linens and products that coincide with your needs. There’s nothing worse than having a loose budget and falling in love with something that is out of reach!

We hope these little tips were helpful for you, and like we mentioned at the beginning, you don’t need to have it all figured out before meeting with us! We just wanted to give you a few things to consider that will hopefully make the crazy process run a little smoother!
