Top 5 Questions to Get Answered on a Venue Tour

Lots of times when meeting with our couples, we find there are some super important questions that haven’t been answered yet that are all about the venue! When meeting with an event rental company it’s crucial to have some information about what comes with the venue rental. In this blog, we are breaking down the FIVE most important questions to get answered while on a venue tour. This helps you be more prepared as you continue to meet with vendors, especially when coming to us for linen rentals & helps us know a little bit more about what you need from us to complete the wedding of your dreams!

1. What size tables AND quantity come with venue rental & are they in good condition?

Why this is important: knowing the table information helps us tremendously when suggesting the perfect linens for your tables. It allows us to get you an accurate quote with the proper linen sizes and eliminates the guessing game. Don’t forget to make sure you ask about cocktail tables too!!Erika Mills Photography

2. Do they include any linens with venue rental? If so- what colors and are they in good condition?

Why this is important: already knowing if a venue provides linens that you plan to use helps us decide what additional items for your tables you may need. Can we add some overlays, runners, charger plates to those tables to spruce them up & give them the perfect finishing touch, or do we get to start from scratch and pick everything for the table including the linens of your choice!


3. Does this venue include chairs?

Why this is important: knowing if a chair rental is included in your venue could make or break why you choose one spot over another. It also gives you an idea of the vibe and look of your wedding once you have those chairs in your head during the design process. This can also eliminate an additional expense.

4. If the venue offers a space for an outdoor ceremony- can those chairs be used both inside and outside?

Why this is important: this will help you avoid an additional expense that you may not have been expecting. Chair rentals are one of those things you need to lock down ASAP. The sooner you know if an additional chair rental is needed for the outside ceremony space, the better! 5. How early in advance do you have access to the building to set up?

Why this is important: this will help you alleviate some of the stress that comes with the day of the wedding. Knowing when you can get in the building helps us to offer you the best services. If you have a room flip with only an hour of time between ceremony & reception, we 100% recommend having our staff prepped onsite at the end of the ceremony to have additional hands on deck to take care of the linens and/or chairs while the catering team focuses on their thing & so your coordinator can focus on their thing.

Virtual Meeting Special!!

Let the show go on!! We know this is a crazy time, but we’re all in the same boat right?? We have really had our virtual meetings kick off this week & they have been SO fun!!! If you have been hesitant to book any meetings or consultations because of COVID-19 well that stops here!! We are offering virtual meetings with Zoom with times Monday-Thursday, late morning to evening. We want to meet YOU! What better way to have a design meeting than from the comfort of your own home? We have a virtual meeting special for those people using our calendar link to book a virtual meeting. These meetings typically don’t last longer than an hour. The fun part- you get to physically see our linens in person and receive photos during and after the meeting.

2020 Color of the Year!

We are soooo stoked that the color blue has been chosen as this year’s Pantone Color of the Year. Just to remind you, here are the Pantone Colors of the Year for the last couple years: 2019- coral, 2018- violet, 2017- greenery. When it comes to picking wedding colors, there are a few that will always remain classics, blue is one of them. Some of the other colors that are a good go to when deciding what to pick for your big day include blush, navy, burgundy, greenery, and all things neutral.

This blue pottery print linen was used all throughout this wedding in the form of linens, runners, and sashes. There is no better linen to steal the show than this one right here. Our stunning Mermaid Sequins linen gives you all the regal feels with the copper & ivory toned sequins. We love this linen but seeing it get transformed to this extent had our jaws to the floor. Everything about this design just has us thinking sweetheart table. Southern Fall Wedding

Back in the heart of fall we got to take part in a beautiful wedding at one of the most beautiful venues. Nikki and Brennan tied the knot at the Oyster Farm Marina out on the Eastern Shore. Their decor was stunning and so unique we couldn’t wait to get these photos in. This wedding was one to remember for a few reasons! We loveeee that Nikki  wasn’t afraid to play with texture & she used some of these linens to go with the neutral, fall beachy vibe. Her decor included cute little pumpkins, oysters, and our favorite part: COTTON! How cool are these centerpieces?This wedding was so elegant and really left us remembering just how beautiful all the details turned out together. For the cake table Nikki chose one of our new, most popular linens: Belize Natural Nutmeg. To bring all the small details together she paired this with her napkin choice as well.On the deck for cocktail hour, she used a beautiful polyester stripe ivory linen which were topped with cute pumpkins and greenery.Love love love this wedding & can’t wait to see what beautiful ideas are in store for us with Spring wedding season almost here!

Stunning November Wedding

Back in November, we were part of an incredible wedding for such a great couple! Jess & Rob allowed us to work our magic making their wedding day dreams come true. What could be better than a great couple, at a great venue, with GREAT linens??? Welp, nothing! Here’s just a sneak peak of how their reception tables turned out and we are truly stunned at the outcome.What a view this is… We are obsessed with every detail of this ceremony space, from the draping, to the gold chiavari chairs with woven chiffon sashes, to the floral wall, we cannot get over this view.We love the alternating sashes between ivory and taupe. These chairs transformed beautifully to the chairs used at their head table during the reception.Pictured again are the chairs used for the head table paired with one of our hottest new linens: etched velvet! Jess had a vision for her reception space and these linens were sure to be a show stopper.Jess paired the etched velvet linens on her head table and cocktail tables & chose to compliment those using matte satin champagne blush linens for the rest of her guest tables. We loveeeee the classic, romantic look of her reception space with some of those pinks and deep reds added tastefully.Their cake table was a head turner in itself with this floral backdrop and one of our personal favorite linens. The champagne aphrodite linen is a perfect cake table addition and yup, you guessed it! Jess added in some champagne aphrodite runners at guest tables to tie it all in.This would be a great wedding to use for inspiration if you’re looking for a classic, romantic feel with some beautiful neutrals and hint of color.

A Crystal Clear Vision 2020 Recap

Last Sunday we produced and executed our seventh annual A Crystal Clear Vision Wedding Expo! This year the event was held at the Princess Anne Country Club and could not have been possible without the help of the amazingly talented Stage Right Lighting AND our friends at Big Top Entertainment! These two knocked it out of the park giving our participants everything they needed to design some pretty amazing tablescapes. Of course we can’t forget our partner in crime, Antonia Christianson Events that takes care of the floor plan, itinerary, and all the planning in between!

For those of you that didn’t know, each year the venue of choice gets transformed into a reception themed bridal expo meant to give couples inspiration for their big day: from linens down to the place settings these event professionals think of everything. All the vendors that are a part of the design competition are fighting for a chance to win awards based on their table designs. Each year we have a People’s Choice Award, Waterford’s Best Choice Award, Vendor’s Choice Award, and a newly added Best Food Display Award. Listed below are our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, place winners!
