A Crystal Clear Vision Linens 2017: Part 1

Friends, it’s finally time!
We’ve officially got all of the pictures back from A Crystal Clear Vision 2017, and we are so excited to finally be able to share with everyone! Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be showing off the amazing photos and detailing the various linens that were used on each of the different tablescapes. We had five amazing photographers on hand to capture the event, and to avoid picture and information overload, we’ve broken down the posts by photographer! First up are the tables that Amanda Manupella Photography captured: Antonia Christianson Events, The Bridal Dish, and Waterford Event Rentals!

Rose Quartz Velvet Runner
How amazing was Antonia Christianson Events table this year?! She pulled design inspiration from her personal life and every.single.detail that she chose had a sentimental value attached to it. All of the custom elements she included from the monogrammed napkins and rose gold plates, down to the Rose Quartz Velvet Runner all came together in this epic sweetheart table!

Black Sequins | Black Petal
The Bridal Dish used two of our favorite linens on their table design – Black Sequins and Black Petal! We haven’t seen these two linens used in black that often and we absolutely fell in love with how classic and expensive it made the table feel/look! No detail was left untouched on their design from the fabulous striped and clear chairs to the “gather” piece hanging above.

Silver Diamond Sequins
Along with planning the whole A Crystal Clear Vision event, Waterford always loves the fact that we get to show off our design skills during the show too! This year, we decided to go with all the sparkles! Our Silver Diamond Sequins linen was the star of our table, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with how everything turned out. The sparkles in contrast with the crisp white of our chiavari chairs and white chair covers gave off a glamorous feel that we just adored!

Simple Steps to Ensure You Have Perfect Place Settings

We’ve got a fun little post for you today! The whole planning process of an event can be overwhelming with so many different decisions that need to be made, so when we find ways to simplify part of the process, we obviously have to share! Today we’re going to share a few simple ways to ensure you have the perfect place settings at your next event! Creating a visually appealing place setting with a beautiful design that matches the theme of your event is simple to do – here are some of our top suggestions for creating a one of a kind look in your place settings:

Sweat The Small Stuff (No, Really!)

We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: details matter at events! So, in the case of your place settings, it’s actually important to sweat the small stuff, aka the details! Subtle details are often the biggest showstoppers at a table setting, and trust us when we say that your guests will take notice of these small, but significant details!

Keep A Consistent Theme

Keeping with your event’s theme is an important piece in perfecting your place settings! Staying true to the theme, whether it be a particular color, pattern or accent piece will ensure that the look of the table as a whole will be consistent. For example, the place setting above was a perfect representation of the “Boho Beach” inspiration that Misty Saves the Day was aiming for!

Layer, Layer, Layer!

Layering linens is a fun and easy way to create visually appealing place settings! How adorable is this tropical table setting with the varying patterns from the full length table linen and leaf runner? Oftentimes, people can be nervous using multiple patterns, but if done correctly, it can really be a wow factor for your guests.

We can’t recommend this enough! Whether you choose to place it on top of a charger, fold it in with a napkin or incorporate it in with your centerpiece, featuring a menu is always a plus that will give your overall place setting more visual appeal!

Making your guests feel welcome is always an important piece of planning an event! Adding a unique accent or personalized touch to their place setting is an excellent way to do so! Anything from a beautifully designed name card or a nice favor will distinguish each individual and leave them feeling appreciated and thought of. We were completely obsessed with these gorgeous name cutouts set on top of our napkins and plate chargers!

Waterford Wednesday: Ways to Add a Personal Touch

One thing that’s very important when planning any event is adding personal and unique touches throughout. The saying “it’s all in the details,” rings true when it comes to the event industry! Today we’re excited to share with you 5 easy ways to add a personal touch to your next event.
Location

You know what they say – location, location, location! This sentiment definitely rings true when you’re considering a venue for your event.  Pick a location that suits your style! If you like nature and greenery, choose an outdoor venue, or if  you love glamorous and romantic, consider a venue that has “wow” elements such as high ceiling and chandaliers.

Invitations

Invitations are one of the first impressions of your event. A personal touch here will give your guests an idea of the style and what to expect from your wedding. Adding a beautiful band to hold all of the different pieces together, or a personalized stamp are two simple ways to make them extra special!

Extra Table Decor

Additional table decor that either suits the style concept or are significant to you automatically make an event more personalized. We love the tea cups and saucers that were added throughout this table design!

Chair Cover and Linens

Chair covers and linens are always a great way to add a personal touch to your event. The easiest way to do this is to use specialty linens, of course! Spending a little extra money dressing up tables that everyone will be paying attention to (like a sweetheart or cake table) is always a special design touch! How great are our leaf petal linens on this dessert table? They definitely brought the  “enchanted woodland” theme to life!

Lighting
If there is one element that we always suggest (besides linens, of course!)  it’s lighting! Great lighting can take your event to the next level. Lighting plays a crucial role in creating the mood for your space, and adds an intimate personal touch.

Waterford Wednesday: Lesner Inn Styled Shoot

Happy Waterford Wednesday everyone!
We are coming off of a major Crystal Clear Vision high, and we can’t wait to show off how amazing and beautiful the event was with pictures and details over the next couple of weeks! Everything turned out better than we could’ve ever imagined, and we’re so blessed to have had the most incredible team behind us helping along the way. Speaking of transformations, we’ve got some gorgeous photos from a spring stylized shoot to share with you today!
Ah! As you all know, we love a good styled shoot, and this one definitely did not disappoint! Nothing can go wrong when you have the beautiful Lesner Inn as the venue. The light pink and neutral colors of the linens that were chosen had us seriously swooning! And don’t even get us started on the vintage tea elements that really brought a beautiful and feminine touch to the whole design. We love how this particular styled shoot used many of the different spaces that the Lesner Inn has available, so you could get a full idea of what your event would look like.  You can check out more of the photos here!

Coastal Virginia Bride Magazine Feature

Well friends, it’s finally here!
No – we’re not talking about today’s Waterford Wednesday post (which is full of pretty by the way!), we’re talking about A Crystal Clear Vision week! Can you believe it?! The big event is THIS Saturday, March 5th, and you do not want to miss it! We’ve been pouring over every single detail of this event for months and months, and we can’t wait to see everything come together at the Virginia Beach Field House. Waterford Wednesday: Lasting Trends

We’ve got a fun little post for you today all about trends! As we all know, trends come and go – some better than others. Everyone has those few pictures that they look back on and just cringe at the clothing, hairstyle, or makeup choice at the time, right? Well, when it comes to your wedding day (aka one of the best days of your life!), you don’t want to look back on your beautiful photos with those same sentiments! While it’s definitely important to express yourself and your vision for your wedding day, it might also be a good time to think about the future and how you’ll feel about your choices after the fact. Today we’ve rounded up three easy tips to ensure you have gorgeous wedding linens that will remain timeless throughout the years!

Neutrals Are Your Friend!

Trust us, it’s no coincidence that linens in neutral colors are present at almost all weddings! Whether it be the classics like white, ivory, and khaki, or the newcomers – blush and champagne, there is always a little hint of a neutral linen! This is because they really represent a timeless color palette that will look great for years to come! They blend well together, as well as being a nice compliment to any other accent color you may decide on.

Trends Fade!
One important thing to remember about trends is that they almost always fade! Sure, they may make a comeback (hello 90’s choker!), but that’s not always a guarantee! You don’t want to risk choosing a very specific linen or color palette for your wedding just because it’s “on trend,” only to hate it days, weeks, or years after your wedding. Wouldn’t regretting a big piece of your wedding be terrible?! A good tip to follow would be to take a look at weddings over the years. What color palettes or trends do you notice that are still relevant and beautiful today? Go with those!

Think About Accents

Accent colors are also something that you should definitely consider when planning the linens for your wedding! While a floral napkin mixed with an equally bright table overlay may be super on trend right now, chances are that trend will fade, and you may not be too thrilled with your choice in the future. Accent colors are supposed to do just that, accentuate what you already have – give emphasis to it! When thinking about your accent colors, a good idea would be to take our first tip into account (neutrals, neutrals, neutrals!) and add a nice accent on top in the form of a napkin or table runner!

Waterford Wednesday: Linens For Every Budget

As with every blog post leading up to our big event, we have to mention that A Crystal Clear Vision is now less than a month away! There are exciting new additions being added to the event each day, so this is definitely a show you don’t want to miss out on!
One of the great things about A Crystal Clear Vision is that you get to see a whole range of Waterford linens and products. You’ll see some of our go-to standard linens, as well as our beloved high quality specialty linens – all in one area! As wedding industry professionals, we understand that each and every person has a different budget for their wedding, so it’s important to us to be sure we provide a wide array of linens at different price points. Today we’re going to show you how your event can shine with linens whether you have a small or large linen budget.

Modest

If you have a modest linen budget, there are so many different combinations that you can take advantage of, without going over your budget. Napkins are always one of our favorite ways to dress up a table at a lower cost! Using one of our basic polyester linens is another way to make your tables look clean and put together without spending a lot of money. If you get lucky with a venue that will provide your base linens, you could get away with renting some gorgeous table runners that could bring color and texture to your design at a lower price point as well!

Standard/Higher-End

If you’re a bride that has carved out a higher linen budget for your wedding, there is a lot more wiggle room to get creative with your design! The use of full length linens on every table come into play, as well as the option of utilizing specialty linens on some of your more important tables such as your sweetheart and cake table. Plate chargers are another visually appealing product that you could think about including with a standard/higher-end linen budget!

If linens are one of the most important components to you at your wedding, there are so many options to make your design look expensive and lavish! Waterford Wednesday: Bridal Show Tips 2

We’ve been in bridal show mode for the past couple of weekends, and with our 4th Annual Crystal Clear Vision event quickly approaching (March 4 – don’t forget!), we thought it was about time for another set of bridal show tips! We’ve done a couple of these posts in the past – like our bridal show FAQ where we answered some basic questions about what to expect at a bridal show, and then our first set of bridal show tips last year around this same time! Bridal shows can be a little intimidating, especially if you’ve never attended one before, so our hope is that these little tips make your experience easier and that you get the most out of the show!

Quality vs. Quantity

Bridal shows are definitely exciting to attend – especially if you’re recently engaged, but we think the “quality over quantity” concept applies here as well! While it’s important to attend a few shows to make sure you’re seeing the various vendors in the area, you don’t want to get “bridal show burnout” by attending every single one, every single weekend. Limiting yourself to two or three shows will ensure you have the experience and knowledge that can come from these shows, but that you’re not overwhelming yourself or wasting your time!

Know Your Availability

A lot of times, vendors will have special deals or promotions for people that set up a meeting right on the spot at a show. Because of this, it’s important to know your general availability so you don’t miss out on these great offers! Looking at your calendar beforehand and writing down a few dates/times that you’re free will save you the stress of having to remember at the show.

Take Photos & Notes

As we mentioned above, bridal shows can be overwhelming. These shows are large productions with a lot of vendors present and a lot to look at! There is a high possibility that you will forget a lot of things that you see, so taking notes and pictures is crucial! You want to remember the things you liked about a particular vendor or the person that you spoke with at a certain booth. Not only do photos and notes help in remembering what you saw and liked, but it also gives you the opportunity to go home and reflect after you’ve had an opportunity to wind down from the show.

Remember Your Budget!

One of our top tips (and hardest for many to follow!) is to remember your budget! Creating a budget is one of the first things you do when you start wedding planning – and for good reason! It’s so easy to get out of control with ideas, so sticking to a strict budget is so important. Wedding industry professionals are some of the most creative people around, so you will see many ideas and services that you never would’ve thought of at bridal shows. While it is fine to check out these unique ideas as an option for your wedding, you should make sure that you have room in your budget before you commit to anything!
