Top 3 Linens of 2020

Although 2020 was a crazy year, we did get to see a few great trends that took the year by storm! We are thrilled to share the top 3 linens of 2020! The last year our events were nowhere near normal but we did get to witness some crazy beautiful weddings with linens to die for. Just as we went through last week with our top napkin folds- we thought it was necessary to make the most popular linen choices known as well.

The fun part about rentals & picking out your linens is that you can literally bring your Pinterest board to life. You want it, we got it OR can get it 😉 There are countless possibilities when it comes to designing your ideal tablescape. Meeting with couples is the best part of our job and getting to step outside the box just makes us jump for joy. When couples are adamant that they want their reception space to be like no other the fun really begins! We get to mix & match napkins, chargers, table shapes & sizes which really gives you the opportunity to make your BIG DAY one in a million!

Let’s get right into taking a peek at these top 3 linens of 2020.

#1- Velvet

Yes, as I’m sure you can expect not only do we love velvet, TONS of our couples this year did too! #3- Texture

Textured linens might be THE go to linen look for 2021!!!! This linen style is super fun because it’s not just one fabric that’s trending. It’s tons of stunning linens with different patterns & textures making it more than just one specific linen itself.Dragon Photo StudioKatie Nesbitt PhotographyCaitlin Gerres Photography

Textures & Patterns- Yes They Go Together!

What’s up y’all! Happy Wednesday. Today we are talking about mixing and matching your textures and patterns- because yes they do go together!

We have some pretty photos from a styled shoot held at a new venue here in Norfolk, VA- The Neon House. If you haven’t checked it out yet then you’re really missing out! The Neon House is a super cool, modern industrial vibe right in the heart of Downtown Norfolk. The venue offers two sides available for rent, the cutest bridal suite on the second floor, and exclusive catering from our friends at Chef By Design.

These photos are from a styled shoot they had on the same weekend we had our “virtual” Summer Social Fest back in July! We paired some of our favorite and most out of the box linens together and y’all this combo just WORKS.Paired here you’ll see our matte satin taupe, etched velvet blush with a stunning french floral blush napkin. It’s so fun to see everything come together after starting off with just an idea in your head.Remember, the trick when picking out the best linens is to make it all complement each other. Not everything has to be the same, or match your bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly. Sticking within the same color palette and vibe is the best way to make your entire wedding day flow effortlessly. We just adore how these colors & patterns just bounce off one another for a perfect tablescape don’t you? If you’ve been wondering about pairing patterns- welp here is your sign to just GO FOR IT.Here is a better shot to capture the table from further out. We are just totally digging these vibes!

Combining Textures Flawlessly

In the fall, we were a part of a huge wedding: 300 people to be exact at the Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club. The linens picked out for this wedding were to die for and we are sooooo excited to share this with you! Morgan chose to keep her guest tables neutral with ivory polyester linens and matte satin champagne blush napkins, but decked out her head table with the same matte satin champagne blush linens and rose quartz velvet napkins. This photo shows an epic shot of the guest tables with the head table located in the center with a stunning hanging floral centerpiece. The guest tables were kept neutral with subtle pops of wedding color in the floral. The head table was differentiated by incorporating long tables but also with a completely different fabric choice. The linens used were matte satin champagne blush and accented with the rose quartz velvet napkins. Both these colors proved to be perfect complements to the floral used in the entire reception space. These colors were romantic and beautiful for this fall wedding. We love making wedding dreams come true!
