2020 Color of the Year!

We are soooo stoked that the color blue has been chosen as this year’s Pantone Color of the Year. Just to remind you, here are the Pantone Colors of the Year for the last couple years: 2019- coral, 2018- violet, 2017- greenery. When it comes to picking wedding colors, there are a few that will always remain classics, blue is one of them. Some of the other colors that are a good go to when deciding what to pick for your big day include blush, navy, burgundy, greenery, and all things neutral.

This week for the blog we wanted to take it back to some of our FAVORITE blue weddings- we know you will just love.Kirstyn Marie Photography

This romantic look was from a few years ago using one of the most beautiful, classic prints. This blue pottery print linen was used all throughout this wedding in the form of linens, runners, and sashes. The clean look of the white plates on top of the gold chargers provide the most beautiful place setting.Dani White Photography

This wedding from the Half Moone incorporated a simple blue “Panama” napkin among our “Ivory Belize” tablecloth with hopes to give their guests an elegant tropical feel.Planner: Antonia Christianson Events | Photography: Ethan Yang Photography

Who doesn’t love a good sash? Adding in that wedding color with a sash is such a fun way to bring your chairs to life & likely would be something unexpected by your guests.Rob Korb Photography

This next photo- I mean it just speaks for itself. The colors, the patterns, the vibrancy. WE. LOVE. IT. ALL. Blue is just one of those colors that you really can just tie into anything & this photo shows nothing less.Dragon Photo Studio

Throwing it back to a fall shoot we did with an INCREDIBLE vision. We are using the fun blue and white pattern with super vibrant floral. Did you peep the navy velvet napkin too? To die for.Design: Lustre Theory | Photography: Molly Lichten Photography

After this, don’t you just love the 2020 Color of the Year?? We sure do.

Waterford Wednesday: 2018 Pantone Color of the Year

Happy Waterford Wednesday, friends!
The Pantone Color of the Year announcement is always one of our favorites, and they just recently announced their pick for 2018! Last week, the team at Pantone made the big reveal that the color of the year is…Ultra Violet!
There is a lot of time and thought that goes into choosing the color of the year, and one of the specifications for the color is that it is supposed to serve as a representation for the whole year. Well, the symbolic meaning of Ultra Violet is “inventive and imaginative” and we think that is just perfect – especially from a wedding industry standpoint! Inventive + imaginative are two words we love to hear when referencing a wedding! We think that Ultra Violet really is a shade that can be super versatile in the event industry – this would be a GREAT linen color, could create a beautiful backlight color, and purple florals would be amazing as well! Ultra Violet, described as a “blue-based purple” is a color that can be paired with many other color combinations, and we can’t wait to see how this beautiful shade is used throughout 2018!
