Waterford Wednesday: Chair Sashes

Happy Waterford Wednesday!

When Waterford was still a brand new company, we solely provided chair covers and a few colors of sashes. To say that we have worked up quite the sash collection would be an understatement! We offer many different color options in organza, chiffon, satin, pintuck, and so many more!

Our Ivory Chiffon Sashes are one of our most stunning sash options! The sheer and lightweight look and feel of this sash adds the perfect delicate, soft touch to any event! Since the chiffon sashes are generally larger in size, they look beautiful when placed on a chiavari (or similar) type of chair. The draping effect that the sashes have when placed on a chair creates an elegant touch that many brides who are having a black tie wedding appreciate! The chiffon fabric is so easy to shape and work with, that many tie options can be achieved! We personally love the “weaved” look that multiple chiffon sashes create on a chair!

Even though we talk a lot about specialty linens, sashes can equally be the “pop” of color or “wow” piece of your event as well! If you plan on using basic white linens, including a sash on your chairs is the perfect opportunity to incorporate your wedding or event colors! We have SO many different sash fabric options and colors that finding the perfect match to your colors is no problem! Choosing a sash tie, whether it be a traditional bow or a unique tie will bring a gorgeous uniformity to your entire event!

We love to see our sashes at weddings that we provide linens for. They really bring an overall elegant and classic feel to the event!

Waterford Wednesday: Features

It’s that time of the week again. . .Waterford Wednesday!
It’s been so fun for us to blog each week about the various happenings of Waterford and we have so many more posts and updates on the way! In fact, we are starting a new weekly series that we are so excited about called Feature Friday! Starting this week, every Friday we will feature a Waterford linen and showcase some different ways that the particular product has been styled. We get so many brides that have seen our linens at various bridal shows, and we think that this will be a perfect opportunity to provide some style inspiration! We have such a wide variety of specialty linens that we can’t wait to show off as well!

The upcoming first Feature Friday post has us so excited that we thought we’d share one of our most favorite times that Waterford was featured!
Photo Jul 22, 10 56 09 PMOne of the very first times that Waterford was featured was on the Bridal Guide blog, and it is still one of our favorite “feature” moments! In the blog post, our pintuck sashes in lime were featured as one of over 25 ways to decorate a basic chair at a wedding! During the time of the feature we were a rapidly growing company and it’s so fun for us to look back on this moment and know that our sashes are still a product that serves as a focal point for our company. Whether it be pintuck, satin,  or organza, we love how our sashes still continue to transform chairs!

Oceanaire Photo Shoot

Today, we are so excited to share some exclusive pictures of a photo shoot Waterford was recently a part of! One of our very favorite things here at Waterford is to showcase our linens, and photo shoots always present the best opportunity to see our linens come to life. Basically, it gives us a chance to play “dress up,” wedding style. . .and who doesn’t love that?!

Waterford provided all of the linens for the photo shoot at the Oceanaire Resort Hotel in Virginia Beach and the shoot turned out flawless thanks to the concept and direction of Michele Carrizales of MorLina Events and Dawn Roberson of Oceanaire Resort Hotel. The ultra talented Will King of Will King Photography captured all of the gorgeous images during the shoot.

See what we mean? To.Die.For. Oceanaire has this fabulous outdoor setup on the top floor of the hotel and it was the perfect location for these particular shots and we absolutely loved the way our linens looked with the little glimpse of the patio section as well as up close. Featured above is our Metallic Silver Table Linen paired with our Blush colored napkins and Blush sashes tied in a side knot. The softness of the Blush mixed with the shimmer of the table linen worked so well together and this shot really shows how versatile this speciality linen is! Of course, the gorgeous floral arrangement by Alisa of Botanique Events pairs so well with the blush and metallic and brings the whole look together.

We love the look and feel of the first photo in black and white and then the shock of the bright blues with the following color pictures! Our Grey Petal Linen paired with our black chair covers and Oasis sashes give this setting a cooler sort of look without compromising the elegance. The contrast between the dark chair cover, the bright Oasis sash and Tiffany Blue napkin, and the floral by Botanique Events pulls the whole table together without it looking like too much is going on. While we see white or ivory chair covers used most often, black chair covers are continually increasing in popularity and based off of this photo and setup we can see why!

Special thanks to the other amazing vendors who were involved in making this shoot so beautiful!

Waterford Wednesday: Weekend Recap

We’re back again for another glorious edition of Waterford Wednesday!
This past week/weekend was SO busy with a ton of pick-ups, deliveries, setups & breakdowns. Our staff definitely got a real taste of the busy wedding season as we were hustling back and forth between many events!

One of the things we love to do at Waterford is take “behind the scenes” pictures of our events so we can really see how our linens transform a venue. We thought it’d be fun to share some of our before and after pictures from this weekend!

salvation armyA before and after shot of our setup for the Salvation Army Gala. Waterford provided the black spandex chair covers and these pictures don’t do the size of the event justice! Karen Clements, with Events In Every Occasion did a great job planning this 400 person event! Botanique Events and Stage Right Lighting also did an amazing job bringing the whole gala together with their gorgeous florals and lighting! While some of the Waterford girls were setting up for the gala, one of the chefs came in and complimented us on our hard work and how awesome our linens looked. He then said, “if the dining room doesn’t look good, the guest won’t have high expectations.” We couldn’t agree more with that statement, and it really gave us the boost of energy to finish the setup strong to provide a memorable experience for the guests!

village hallWe always love doing setups at Village Hall in Virginia Beach! We do many setups and breakdowns at this location so it’s always fun to see the banquet area transform depending on the linens that we are providing! At this particular event we used our white chair covers, royal blue organza sashes, royal blue satin overlays, and white polyester napkins! Of course, we steamed everything to perfection as well!

chesa marriottWe loved doing this setup at the Chesapeake Marriott this weekend! This setup was slightly different from the others, because we essentially did a 2 in 1 type of setup! First, we provided ivory chair covers with organza sashes on every other aisle seat for the ceremony seating.

chesa marriott 2Then, we set up the reception room for the same wedding! We provided the ivory chair covers, ivory satin sashes (tied in a wrap around knot), ivory satin overlays, and our Rosette on Mesh speciality table linen on the head table! We seriously loved all of the ivory in this setup and how elegant everything looked together!

Whew! Such a busy, fun, exciting weekend! Don’t forget to keep up with us daily on

Congrats Austin and Melanie

Waterford Event Rentals spent part of Saturday, October 15th setting up sashes for Austin and Melanie at the Princess Anne Country Club.  A few weeks ago WER helped Missy of Antonia Christianson Events find the perfect apple green pintuck sash for Melanie and Austin’s wedding.

In the process of setting up we had the privilege of meeting David Schwartz of David Schwartz Photography. David even took the time to take a few shots of us working. Special thanks to him and everyone who made the set up beautiful. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Turquoise… A HOT Summer Color!

Turquoise is definitely a HOT color this summer. Many try hard to match all their reception colors (i.e. favors, napkins, centerpieces), however, the new trend is to mix and match shades. Take a look at the picture above…the colors aren’t exactly the same, yet when put together they look great!

Complete your look with table runners and sashes to be sure your accent color pops! We have 3 types of fabric and MANY different color variations.

Looking forward to a busy June!
