Custom event rentals are how your wedding day stops looking like everyone else’s. Maybe your color story doesn’t match anything on a standard rental list. Or you want your new monogram stitched into every napkin your guests will touch. If you’ve wondered whether personalizing your rentals is even possible, here’s the answer: yes. At Waterford Event Rentals, it’s a process we walk through together.
How a Design Meeting Shapes Your Custom Rentals
Every custom order begins with a design meeting. You can meet us in our Chesapeake studio, or virtually if you’re planning from farther out. We work with couples across Hampton Roads and the Outer Banks. Tell us what you’re picturing: a specific shade, a family monogram, a detail that means something to your story. Once we’ve got the vision, you’ll send our sales team the artwork. That’s when the behind-the-scenes work begins.
From Mockup to the Real Thing
Our sales and design team turn your artwork into a digital mockup. You’ll see the idea before it’s real, and you’ll approve it. For most custom pieces, we’ll follow with a strike-off, basically a physical sample. That way, you can feel the exact fabric or stitching before production starts. Not every custom order needs this step, but for detailed work, it’s worth it. Once you sign off, your pieces go into production. They’ll arrive at our office ahead of your event, ready to be reviewed and packaged.
And After Your Event? We Handle That Too
Most custom pieces are made specifically for you. So once your event wraps, we take them back and handle the first wash ourselves, on us, as a thank-you for trusting us with your story. No matter what you’re planning, our team can help custom event rentals feel simple instead of stressful. Book your design meeting, and let’s start sketching out something made just for you.
