It’s Feature Friday. . .and we’re changing things up a bit!
We’re SO excited to “feature” and introduce you to each of our amazing staff members in the coming weeks! First up is this blonde beauty who keeps our office running smoothly!

Position: Office Manager
How long have you been with Waterford?: 3 and a half years!
What is the most exciting change WER has had over the past few years?: DEFINITELY our growth! When I first started, we were washing our chair covers at a laundromat, running things out of Alyse’s garage and had a much smaller inventory. Now we have sequins galore, multiple types of chair covers and just about any sash color you could ever imagine…plus more!
College/Major: Currently studying Communications at Old Dominion University, but slipping
on my cap and gown THIS December!
How exciting! Is your role with Waterford going to change after graduation?: Definitely! I will be able to accept a full time position and devote more time to this amazing company. I will acquire more responsibility and not to mention, further my knowledge in the event rental industry. SO excited to continue growing with the company!
Favorite WER Memory: I have SO many good memories with Waterford! It’s hard to narrow down, but I used to love all the crazy looks I would get from my friends when I would iron sashes in my college dorm. See how much we’ve grown over the years?! Ha!

Favorite Linen: Champagne Blush Lamour. Bet you thought I would say sequins, right?!
Favorite Sash Tie: I’m a sucker for a nice chivari chair with chiffon sashes weaved through the back…trust me, it’s gorgeous!
What do you love most about working at WER: Family. I just LOVE everyone I work with! We’re all like best friends and work so well together. Alyse and I can even finish each other’s sentences, read each other’s minds and some even say we sound exactly the same on the phone! If you’ve been around us, it’s scary how alike we are!
If you aren’t working, where would we find you on the weekend?: Busy being a beach bum on the beaches in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, my favorite place in the world!
What advice would you give to someone wanting to work in the event industry?: ALWAYS be prepared for the unexpected, don’t forget to smile, and ALWAYS offer to help out another vendor. I like to think of Hampton Roads wedding vendors as “community” and not “competition” so it’s important to extend a helping hand to make the event come together smoothly.
